Organizational Structure:

Membership

Membership of the Sierra Leone Humanitarian Organization (SLHO) Rotterdam is open to all individuals who support the aims, objectives, and values of the organization, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, social status, or background.

To become a full member of SLHO, individuals must:

  1. Complete the membership registration process and pay any applicable membership fee.
  2. Actively participate in the activities and programs of the organization.
  3. Uphold and comply with the Constitution, policies, rules, and regulations of SLHO.
  4. Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  5. Conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.

Organizational Structure

SLHO Rotterdam operates through a democratic and transparent governance structure consisting of two main bodies:

General Assembly

The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body of the organization and consists of all registered members.

The General Assembly:

  • Meets regularly to discuss organizational matters and strategic priorities.
  • Reviews reports, activities, and future plans.
  • Elects members of the Executive Board.
  • Approves major policies and decisions.
  • Provides guidance on matters concerning the organization.

Decisions are made democratically in accordance with the organization’s constitution and governing procedures.

Executive Board

The Executive Board is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the organization.

The Board is tasked with:

  • Implementing decisions approved by the General Assembly.
  • Developing programs and projects.
  • Managing the organization’s operations and resources.
  • Establishing partnerships and representing the organization externally.
  • Ensuring good governance, accountability, and transparency.
The Executive Board is led by the Chairperson/President and consists of elected and appointed officers who work collectively to advance the mission, vision, and objectives of the organization. The Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring effective governance, and acting in the best interests of the organization, its members, and the communities it serves.
