Executive Committee & Leadership Team. 

The Sierra Leone Humanitarian Organization (SLHO) Rotterdam is led by a dedicated team of elected and appointed officers, advisers, and committee members who work collaboratively to advance the organization’s mission, strengthen community engagement, and promote humanitarian, cultural, and social development.

Our leadership team is committed to serving with integrity, transparency, accountability, and professionalism while working to support the growth, unity, and long-term success of SLHO Rotterdam.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:

Chairman: Mr. Mustapha Kabba

Mr. Mustapha Kabba was unanimously elected Chairman of SLHO Rotterdam on 27 September 2026.  As Chairman, he provides strategic leadership to the organization, chairs meetings, oversees the implementation of organizational policies, and represents SLHO Rotterdam in its engagements with members, partners, and stakeholders.

Vice Chairman & Financial Secretary: Mr. Abdul Kanu

Mr. Abdul Kanu serves as Vice Chairman and Financial Secretary of SLHO Rotterdam. He supports the Chairman in the execution of his duties and is responsible for overseeing the organization’s finances, maintaining financial records, and providing financial reports to the membership.

Secretary General: Mr. Abdulai Bah

Mr. Abdulai Bah serves as the Secretary General of SLHO Rotterdam. He is responsible for the administration and record-keeping of the organization, ensuring effective communication and coordination among members and the Executive Committee.

Mr. Bah is widely respected for his calm and approachable character. He is known as a quiet, respectful, polite, honest, humble, and friendly individual whose integrity and professionalism have earned him the trust and respect of members across the organization.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining minutes of meetings.
  • Managing official correspondence and organizational records.
  • Coordinating meetings and administrative activities.
  • Supporting the implementation of decisions adopted by the General Membership and the Executive Committee.
  • Facilitating effective communication within the organization.
  • Ensuring transparency, accountability, and proper documentation of organizational activities.

Through his dedication, humility, and strong sense of responsibility, Mr. Bah plays an important role in supporting the smooth administration and effective functioning of SLHO Rotterdam.


Public Relation officer (P.R.O.): Mrs. Fatmata Kamara

Mrs. Fatmata Kamara serves as Public Relations Officer (PRO) of SLHO Rotterdam. She is responsible for promoting the organization’s activities, strengthening communication with members and the wider community, and enhancing the visibility and public image of SLHO through effective engagement and outreach.

Assistance Public Relation officer (P.R.O.): Miss. Ruth Kargbo

Miss Ruth Kargbo serves as Assistance Public Relations Officer (PRO) and supports the organization’s communication and outreach efforts. She works closely with the leadership team to promote SLHO’s activities, share information with members, and strengthen engagement with community stakeholders and partners.

Membership Outreach Secretary 1: Mr. Sylvanus Kamara

Mr. Sylvanus Kamara serves as Membership Outreach Secretary 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. He is responsible for promoting membership growth, strengthening member engagement, and fostering relationships with individuals and communities interested in the mission and activities of the organization.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting membership recruitment and retention.
  • Engaging with prospective members and community stakeholders.
  • Supporting membership outreach campaigns and activities.
  • Encouraging active participation in organizational programmes and events.
  • Strengthening communication between members and the leadership team.
  • Helping to expand the organization’s network and community presence.
  • Supporting dialogue, reconciliation, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts among members.
  • Promoting understanding, mutual respect, unity, and cooperation within the organization.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a harmonious and inclusive environment that reflects the values of SLHO Rotterdam.

Through his role, Mr. Kamara plays an important part in building a strong, active, united, and inclusive membership base that supports the continued growth and success of SLHO Rotterdam.


Membership Outreach Secretary 2: Mrs. Salamata Kamara

Mrs. Salamata Kamara serves as Membership Outreach Secretary 2 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, she supports initiatives aimed at strengthening membership engagement, promoting organizational growth, and fostering meaningful connections between SLHO Rotterdam and the wider community.

Her key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Engaging with members and prospective members to promote active participation.
  • Assisting with community outreach and awareness activities.
  • Strengthening communication between the leadership and membership.
  • Encouraging inclusiveness, participation, and collaboration within the organization.
  • Supporting activities that enhance community engagement and organizational development.

Membership Outreach Secretary 3: Mr. Abu Bangura

Mr. Abu Bangura serves as Membership Outreach Secretary 3 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, he supports efforts to strengthen membership engagement, expand the organization’s outreach activities, and foster stronger connections between SLHO Rotterdam and the communities it serves.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Encouraging active participation in organizational programmes, meetings, and events.
  • Engaging with current and prospective members to promote the objectives of SLHO Rotterdam.
  • Assisting with community outreach and awareness campaigns.
  • Promoting inclusiveness, collaboration, and member engagement.
  • Supporting dialogue, reconciliation, and the peaceful resolution of misunderstandings among members.
  • Encouraging mutual respect, understanding, and unity within the organization.

Welfare Secretary 1: Mrs. Marian Tolnor

Mrs. Marian Tolnor serves as Welfare Secretary 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, she is responsible for promoting the welfare and well-being of members, providing support during times of need, and helping to strengthen solidarity and unity within the organization.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating welfare and support activities for members.
  • Assisting members during significant life events and special occasions.
  • Promoting member engagement and well-being.
  • Supporting initiatives that foster unity, care, and mutual assistance among members.
  • Working closely with the Executive Committee to address welfare-related matters.

As Welfare Secretary, Mrs. Tolnor plays an important role in maintaining the supportive and community-oriented spirit of SLHO Rotterdam and ensuring that members feel valued, connected, and supported.


Welfare Secretary 2: Mr. Bailor Barrie

Mr. Bailor Barrie serves as Welfare Secretary 2 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, he supports initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare, well-being, and unity of members, while helping to strengthen the spirit of mutual support and solidarity within the organization.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the coordination of welfare programmes and activities.
  • Supporting members during significant life events and times of need.
  • Promoting member welfare, inclusion, and active participation.
  • Encouraging unity, cooperation, and social cohesion among members.
  • Working with the Welfare Committee and Executive Committee on welfare-related matters.
  • Contributing to a supportive and caring environment within SLHO Rotterdam.

Through his commitment to service and community support, Mr. Barrie helps ensure that the welfare needs of members remain an important priority within the organization.


Welfare Secretary 3: Mrs. Mabinty Shaw

Mrs. Mabinty Shaw serves as Welfare Secretary 3 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, she supports the welfare and well-being of members and helps strengthen the spirit of unity, care, and mutual support within the organization.

Her key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting welfare initiatives and member support programmes.
  • Assisting members during significant life events and times of need.
  • Promoting solidarity, inclusion, and member engagement.
  • Encouraging participation in organizational activities and events.
  • Working closely with the Welfare Committee and Executive Committee on welfare-related matters.
  • Helping to foster a caring, supportive, and harmonious environment within SLHO Rotterdam.

Through her dedication and commitment to member welfare, Mrs. Shaw contributes to maintaining the strong sense of community and togetherness that defines SLHO Rotterdam.


Disciplinary Secretary 1: Mr. Augustine Angel Conteh

Mr. Augustine Angel Conteh serves as Disciplinary Secretary 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, he is responsible for promoting discipline, respect, accountability, and adherence to the constitution, rules, and regulations of the organization.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the maintenance of discipline and organizational standards.
  • Encouraging members to uphold the values, policies, and objectives of SLHO Rotterdam.
  • Assisting in addressing disciplinary matters in a fair, impartial, and respectful manner.
  • Promoting dialogue, mutual respect, and constructive resolution of misunderstandings among members.
  • Supporting the Executive Committee in safeguarding the integrity and unity of the organization.
  • Encouraging a culture of responsibility, professionalism, and cooperation among members.

As Disciplinary Secretary, Mr. Conteh plays an important role in helping to maintain a positive, respectful, and harmonious environment that enables SLHO Rotterdam to effectively achieve its mission and objectives.


Disciplinary Secretary 2: Mr. Mohamed Barrie

Mr. Mohamed Barrie serves as Disciplinary Secretary 2 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, he works alongside the disciplinary team to promote discipline, accountability, and adherence to the constitution, rules, and values of the organization.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation of the organization’s rules and regulations.
  • Promoting respect, professionalism, and responsible conduct among members.
  • Assisting in the fair and impartial handling of disciplinary matters.
  • Encouraging dialogue, understanding, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
  • Supporting initiatives that promote unity, cooperation, and organizational harmony.
  • Working closely with the Executive Committee to uphold the integrity and reputation of SLHO Rotterdam.

Mr. Barrie plays an important role in fostering a positive, respectful, and cohesive organizational environment where members can work together effectively in pursuit of the objectives of SLHO Rotterdam.


Entertainment Secretary 1: Mr. Philip Kargbo (Philo)

Mr. Phillip Kargbo serves as Entertainment Secretary 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating entertainment activities and supporting the organization of cultural, social, and recreational programmes that promote member engagement and community participation.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating entertainment activities during events and celebrations.
  • Supporting the organization of cultural programmes and community gatherings.
  • Assisting with the development of creative and engaging activities for members and guests.
  • Promoting cultural awareness, unity, and social interaction through entertainment.
  • Working with the Organising Committee to ensure the successful delivery of events and programmes.
  • Contributing to the development of a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere within SLHO Rotterdam.

Through his role, Mr. Kargbo helps create enjoyable and memorable experiences that bring people together and strengthen the spirit of unity within the organization.


Entertainment Secretary 2: Mr. Alusine Kamara (DJ)

Mr. Alusine Kamara serves as Entertainment Secretary 2 of SLHO Rotterdam. He works alongside the entertainment team to coordinate cultural and recreational activities that enhance member participation and community engagement.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of entertainment programmes.
  • Supporting cultural performances, music, and social activities during events.
  • Encouraging member involvement in community celebrations and gatherings.
  • Working with event organizers to ensure smooth delivery of entertainment activities.
  • Promoting cultural exchange, diversity, and social cohesion through community events.
  • Helping to create an enjoyable and welcoming environment for members and visitors.

Through his dedication and creativity, Mr. Kamara contributes to the success of SLHO Rotterdam’s events and helps strengthen community spirit and participation.


WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP:

Chairlady (Women’s Affairs Coordinator): Mrs. 

 

Assistance Chairlady: Mrs. Yawara Kamara

Mrs. Yawara Kamara serves as Assistant Chairlady of SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, she supports the Chairlady and the leadership of the organization in promoting the participation, welfare, and empowerment of women within SLHO and the wider community.

Her key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Chairlady in carrying out her duties and responsibilities.
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of women’s activities and community initiatives.
  • Encouraging the participation and engagement of female members in organizational affairs.
  • Promoting unity, cooperation, and inclusiveness among members.
  • Supporting welfare, cultural, and community development programmes.
  • Assisting in the coordination of events, meetings, and special activities organized by SLHO Rotterdam.

Through her role, Mrs. Kamara contributes to strengthening member engagement, community participation, and the overall success of the organization.


ADVISORY TEAM

Chief Adviser to SLHO Rotterdam:  Alhaji Amadu Jalloh

Alhaji Amadu Jalloh serves as Chief Adviser to SLHO Rotterdam. In this role, he provides guidance, wisdom, and strategic advice to the leadership and supports the organization in achieving its objectives and maintaining strong community relations.

Chief Adviser to the Chairman and Executive: Mr. Sorie Ibrahim Kargbo

 

Mr. Sorie Ibrahim Kargbo serves as Chief Adviser to the Chairman and Executive of SLHO Rotterdam. In this important role, he provides strategic guidance, institutional knowledge, and advisory support to the Chairman and Executive Committee in the pursuit of the organization’s mission and objectives.

Mr. Kargbo brings extensive leadership, organizational, and community experience to the position. He is a former Chairman and former Secretary General of SLHO and has served the Sierra Leonean community in various leadership capacities over many years.

His previous leadership roles include:

  • Former Chairman of SLHO.
  • Former Secretary General of SLHO.
  • Former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Sierra Leone Central Union (SLCU) – The Netherlands.
  • Former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Sierra Leone Central Union (SLCU) – The Netherlands.

As Chief Adviser to the Chairman and Executive, Mr. Kargbo provides counsel on organizational governance, leadership, policy development, community engagement, and strategic planning. His experience and commitment to community service continue to be a valuable asset to SLHO Rotterdam.

Through his advisory role, he supports effective decision-making, promotes organizational continuity, and contributes to the long-term growth and success of the organization.


Senior Adviser to the Chairman and Executive: Mrs. Marian Kamara

Mrs. Marian Kamara serves as Senior Adviser to the Chairman and Executive. Drawing upon her experience as a former Chairlady of the organization, she provides valuable counsel, institutional knowledge, and support to the Chairman and the Executive Committee.

AUDIT COMMITTEE

Auditor General 1: Mrs. Aminata Diakhaby

Mrs. Aminata Diakhaby serves as Auditor General 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. Her role is to provide independent oversight of the organization’s financial records and procedures, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with the organization’s financial policies.

Auditor General 2: Mrs. Fatima Binta Jabbie

Mrs. Binta Diaby serves as Auditor General 2 and supports the auditing and review of the organization’s financial administration. Together with the audit team, she helps ensure sound financial management, transparency, and good governance within SLHO Rotterdam.

ORGANISING COMMITTEE

Organizing Secretary 1: Mr. Patrick Fofanah

Mr. Patrick Fofanah serves as Organising Secretary 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. He assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the organization’s events, meetings, and community activities, ensuring that programmes are effectively organized and successfully delivered.

Organizing Secretary 2: Mr. Amadu Wurie Shaw

Mr. Amadu Wurie Shaw serves as Organising Secretary 2 and supports the coordination of SLHO activities and events. He works closely with the Executive Committee to ensure the smooth planning and execution of organizational programmes and community initiatives.

Organizing Secretary 3: Mr. Abdul Rahman Kamara

Mr. Abdul Rahman Kamara serves as Organising Secretary 3 of SLHO Rotterdam. His role includes assisting with event logistics, member engagement, programme coordination, and supporting the successful implementation of the organization’s activities.

Organizing Secretary 4: Mr. Mohamed Kabba Sesay

Mr. Mohamed Kabba Sesay serves as Organising Secretary 4 and contributes to the planning and organization of SLHO events and projects. He works collaboratively with fellow committee members to promote effective participation and community involvement.

Organizing Secretary 5: Haja Zainab Jalloh

Haja Zainab Jalloh serves as Organising Secretary 5 of SLHO Rotterdam. She supports the coordination of meetings, events, and special projects while helping to strengthen member participation and community engagement within the organization.

MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

Media & Communications Secretary 1: Mr. Charles Aba Conteh

Mr. Charles Aba Conteh serves as Media & Communications Secretary 1 of SLHO Rotterdam. He is responsible for supporting the organization’s communication strategy and ensuring that members, partners, and the wider public remain informed about SLHO’s activities, programmes, and achievements.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting the activities and initiatives of SLHO Rotterdam.
  • Managing media relations and public communications.
  • Supporting the publication of news, announcements, and event updates.
  • Assisting in the production of promotional and informational materials.
  • Enhancing the visibility and public image of the organization.
  • Supporting digital communication through the website and social media platforms.

Through his role, Mr. Conteh contributes to strengthening community engagement and increasing awareness of the work and impact of SLHO Rotterdam.


Media & Communications Secretary 2: Mr. Abdul Hakeem Kamara

Mr. Abdul Hakeem Kamara serves as Media & Communications Secretary 2 of SLHO Rotterdam. He works closely with the leadership team to coordinate communications, share information with members, and promote the organization’s activities to a wider audience.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management of SLHO’s media and communication channels.
  • Assisting with website content, social media updates, and public announcements.
  • Documenting events and activities through photographs, videos, and reports.
  • Promoting community engagement and participation.
  • Supporting the communication and publicity of special projects and events.
  • Helping to maintain a professional and consistent public image for the organization.

Through effective communication and outreach, Mr. Kamara helps ensure that SLHO Rotterdam remains visible, accessible, and connected to its members and the wider community.
